The spreading of fake news has become very rampant in today’s world. Singapore has recently passed a law to prohibit the spread of fake news. The god of this world specializes in fake news. Fake news, such as the theory of evolution, is even taught in schools. Just like in Noah’s time, we are living in a world of the ungodly and wickedness.

False (or fake) teachers are those who believe in, and teach, damnable heresies. Condemnation by God is certain if we follow them. God will punish every transgressor. The charismatic movement has Christianized the lust of the flesh and brought carnality into churches. In these last days, genuine Christianity is hard to find.

False teachers target God’s people. Are people innocent because they are ignorant of false teachings? Should they be condemned? False teachers and those who follow them in ignorance will not be excused.

Our first duty is to make sure of our own salvation, and be found in a sound church that teaches sound doctrines. Parents are to provide their children with a Christian home environment that is godly and biblical for them to grow in.

God wants us to be separate from the wickedness of the world. If we are truly born again, we need to separate from apostasy. Do not be comfortable in this carnal world. With the Holy Spirit in us, we must feel vexed by this ungodly world. We must know that our enemy is the devil.

In biblical times, believers had to count the cost of becoming a Christian. They were persecuted, ostracized, suffered physical pain, martyred, etc. Today in Singapore, we do not experience these hardships when we become believers. Yet, we are so quick to compromise our faith and Christian testimony just because we do not want “lose face,” or we do not want to experience a little inconvenience, etc.

God knows if we are truly born again. God’s judgment is coming. We cannot afford to take our salvation for granted. Make sure of your salvation, and do not compromise your faith. Will you be found holy and righteous when Jesus comes?
