“The Days of Noah”

The days of Noah always carry a very ominous tone to all believers. It was the end of Noah’s world. The LORD saw that the sins of the world were so evil and wicked that the only solution to save His plan of salvation for mankind and to deal with a sinful world justly was to destroy it completely. He did so through a global flood. This was the LORD’s judgment on Noah’s world in Genesis 6:5-7: “And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.” 

Only eight of them (Noah, his wife and their three sons and their wives) were saved. The rest of the world did not believe that God would destroy the world with a global flood even though Noah preached for 100 years and the Ark was being built in front of their eyes. They had never seen rain before as a mist rose from the earth to water the earth before there was rain (Gen 2:6). The beginning of rain was the beginning of the global Flood. Noah’s world perished when the flood came the moment the door of the Ark was shut by the LORD. 

The Lord Jesus Christ prophesied 2,000 years ago that our present world would be destroyed by fire in 2 Peter 3:3-7: “Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.”

Just like in the days of Noah there will be mockers or scoffers today. They are consumed by their lusts for pleasures, entertainment, evil desires and all forms of wickedness. Their hearts will sin continually until the fiery judgment comes. They openly refuse to believe that there was a global flood even though the evidence is all around them. The lie of the evolution theory has succeeded in blinding their eyes. The clear evidence of this fiery judgment is the reality of the watery judgment in Noah's days as seen in all the fossils. Those who believe in the global flood will also believe in the global fiery judgment to come. Those who deny and reject the global flood will also reject the global fiery judgment.

Did God say that the days of Noah would precede the return of Christ? Matthew 24:36-41: “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.” [Emphasis added]

This means that what God said (“The wickedness was great in the earth and every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually”) also describes our present world. Not only that, the Lord also said that our last days will also be like Sodom. Luke 17:26-37: “And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed. In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back. Remember Lot's wife. Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it. I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left. Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.” [Emphasis added]

The sin of this present world is of pandemic proportions, characterized by homosexuality and fornication, murder and killing, all forms of lascivious and debaucherous lifestyles. The world is ripe for total destruction with the sins of the world now like the sins of Noah’s world. No one cares or believes, just as no one cared until the flood came. People were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage as if they would live long on the earth, not knowing that they had only days or even hours to live before the flood came. Noah and his family believed and they entered the Ark. The rest of the world lived on in their earthly life. They perished without hope.

Our Ark today is Jesus Christ our Lord. The devil has masterfully destroyed Christianity by poisoning it from within. It is not destroyed by outsiders of other faiths. It was destroyed by insiders who profess to be Christians. The poisonous deception of the devil is so deadly that these millions of professing believers are not even aware of his diabolical deeds. They sincerely believe that they are doing God’s will and defending the honour of Christ. These blinded ones include the Roman Catholics and the ecumenical movement (salvation by good Christian works), the Charismatics (to be saved is to be carnal), and the Neo-evangelicals (believing that the Bible has mistakes as truth).

The days of Noah will be before the Rapture as one will be taken and the other left in the field. Two women will be grinding in the mill and one will be taken and the other left behind. Do not be left behind. The signs of Noah’s days are already fulfilled. The question is: when will it be fulfilled to the full? One will remain and the other taken. Which one will you be? Amen.
