Dr Tow's Letter 17 Feb 2019

My dear readers,

(Extracts from GOD’S THOUGHTS: TIMELY WORDS FOR DAILY LIVING , Edited by Dr SH Tow)

FELLOWSHIP

86 Can two walk together, except they be agreed? (Amos 3:3)

87 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. (Matt 18:20)

88 God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. (1 Cor 1:9)

89 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? (2 Cor 6:14)

90 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. (Eph 5:11)

91 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. (1 John 1:3, 7)

FORGIVENESS

92 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. (Ps 103:12)

93 The discretion of a man deferreth his anger; and it is his glory to pass over a transgression. (Prov 19:11)

94 If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink: For thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the Lord shall reward thee. (Prov 25:21-22)

95 I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee. (Isa 44:22)

96 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you. (Matt 5:43-44)

97 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. (Matt 6:14-15)

98 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. (Eph 4:32)

99 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)

FRIENDSHIP

100 A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity. (Prov 17:17)

101 A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. (Prov 18:24)

102 Make no friendship with an angry man; and with a furious man thou shalt not go: Lest thou learn his ways, and get a snare to thy soul. (Prov 22:24-25)

103 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. (John 15:13-14)

(To be con’t…)

God bless all readers.

Yours faithfully in the Saviour’s Service,

Dr SH Tow
